Dear LotusRain family,
Crystal Carothers and Friend
I’m writing to give you an update and tell you thank you for all your help. I first came to LotusRain after being diagnosed with a rare bone cancer, a large tumor was eating away the bone on my sacrum. I was in a lot of pain. I couldn’t sit on my bum, so the staff gave me a private room where I could take my infusions laying down on my stomach. I always appreciated this accommodation. My nurse Febe took great care of me and was always so amazing at finding a vein in my arm. I saw Dr. Reese every 3 months or so. Radiation has taken a huge toll on my body, but She helped me on so many levels. She recommended a cannabis nurse (Elizabeth) who helped me with my pain. Dr. Reese also helped me get my hormones back into balance and she helped me with my digestive issues. She gave me several supplements to take to help fight the cancer. She called to check up on me regularly.
3 years after my initial diagnosis, and despite never having had surgery to remove the tumor, my oncologist has declared “no evidence of disease” on my last report in July.
I am back to surfing, traveling internationally, cycling, hiking, doing all the things I could do before the diagnosis.
